The FBK-250 is a variable speed blower kit that includes a rheostat variable speed controller and thermostat. The FBK-250 kit is designed for home setups that lack a desiginated wall switch for the blower. Instead, the thermostat will automatically turn the blower on and off at set temperatures. If a designated wall switch is already installed, the FBK-100, FBK-200 and FBK-250 can all be used. However, if no wall switch is installed, the FBK-250 must be used. Unlike most of our competitors who use cheaper sleeve bearing motors, our FBK-250 blower uses a high quality ball bearing motor, which last longer and operates more efficiently then their sleeve bearing counterparts. Ball bearing motors last longer and operate more efficiently than their sleeve bearing counterparts. Additionally, we also use a ball bearing outboard bearing. The outboard bearing is the red cap you see opposite the motor. Our use of ball bearing outboard bearings reduce shaft end play and provide a much smoother, more quiet and longer lasting blower assembly.
