The kit is hand assembled and tested in our Racine, Wisconsin factory and includes two of our sealed ball bearing blower assemblies. The blowers are mounted to separate galvanized steel brackets to eliminate rusting and have pre-installed noise reduction pads to eliminate any metal on metal contact. The kit also features both an integrated variable speed controller and automatic thermostat sensor. The rheostat allows infinite control of the blower through the entire RPM range, so you’ll be able to conveniently control both air flow and noise. Additionally, the thermostat is mounted to a magnetic bracket that allows for easy mounting and installation. The sensor will turn the blower on and off automatically based on the surface temperature of your fireplace. If you have a dedicated wall switch for the blower, you’ll leave the wall switch in the “ON” position and let the thermostat take over. Upgraded ELITE blowers are now available! Rather than using the standard tangential squirrel cage blower, you can now upgrade your 600-1 kit with more heat efficient centrifugal blowers. These blowers eliminate a common failure point on the original 600-1 blowers, which is the outside bearing behind the rubber end cap. 100% high temp treated ball bearing motors with Class H insulation, high temperature grease and properly set and pinned metal wheels. Besides their high temperature application, the benefit of centrifugal blowers over their tangential counterparts is that they’re also more quiet.
