The FBK-200 is a variable speed blower kit that includes a rheostat variable speed controller, but does NOT include a thermostat (Available only in FBK-250 kit). The FBK-200’s rheostat is designed to replace an existing wall switch. The wall switch operates the electrical outlet below your fireplace. If no designated wall switch for the blower is present, the FBK-250 blower kit must be used. Unlike most of our competitors who use sleeve bearing motors, our FBK-200 kit uses a much higher quality ball bearing motor. Ball bearings motors last longer and operate more efficiently than their sleeve bearing counterparts. Additionally, we also use a ball bearing outboard bearing. The outboard bearing is the red cap you see opposite the motor.
